CUSTOM TOOLS & CUTTERS

Sharp-Rite has a vision to serve.  Our goal is to supply our customers with their own personal tools.  Many machine shops machine the same product using generic or off the shelf type tooling (especially Endmills).  We are here to engineer proper tools for specific materials, speeds, feeds and loads required.  Recently, our success in designing tools in the Aerospace Industry has lead us to purchase our new CNC Grinder.  Let a local B.C. company be your personal tooling supplier.

Sharp-Rite manufactures 3 types of keyseater tooling, Morrison, Fromag and Mitts & Merril type keyseaters.

CUTTER BAR

This one-piece construction fits directly into the slot of the guide post.  These cutter bars are standard for posts of 1 1/4” diameter or less.

INSERT CUTTER

These types of cutters are dovetailed and fit into the tool bars.  They are available in different sizes for posts 1 1/2” diameter or larger.

SUPER CUTTER

Used with Sharp-Rite’s Super Tool Bar, this is an improved version of the conventional insert cutter.  It seats snuggly in the pocket of the super tool bar and is further secured with 2 bolts.  This unique tapered design minimizes cutter and bar breakage.  Available in different sizes as in conventional insert cutters.

All Sharp-Rite cutters are made of high quality steel.  Standard size cutters are available from stock for immediate delivery.  Cutters come in different sizes, shapes, profiles, angles, radii or other special requirements.
